,,I suggested earlier that instead of fighting with life, we should start dancing with it! I admit that it's not easy to learn the steps, that we're not all going to become some Fred Astaire or Ginger Rogers. For those of you whose names above mean nothing (and, obviously, were born in a different millennium than yours truly), I have other examples at hand, easier to assimilate: Mihai Petre, Alex Velea or Antonia. But we don't even need to go as far as their performances. We can enjoy the dance of life without being champions, especially if we have the partner of our dreams!
But it's a fact that not every type of dance suits us. Often, we may have to join certain classes because our parents have advised us to, or even forced us to. Thinking of what would be good for us, they sent us to learn the waltz, without them knowing that our bodies would have reacted more intensely to an Argentine tango or salsa. If you realize this is the case with you, blaming those who raised you is the last thing you should do! There are no people in the world who love and care for you more than your parents! And if there are incongruities between your desires and theirs, be convinced that they are due to the advice that the poet Vasile Militaru gives to parents about their children:
Don't leave it to his will
Where he wants to go,
The same wood is used to make
And the icon and the mace...
You see, throughout our lives, we all face situations where we are like blind men on a sidewalk, waiting for someone to help us cross. And these moments of blindness are naturally more common in the early stages of our lives, when we need people to guide us on the path to fulfill our destiny. This means stepping onto it, aware of all the capacities and availabilities that our being has!”
